Toastmasters WILL help you improve your speaking skills and increase your leadership ability!  Whatever your goals in life, your success depends on your ability to communicate.  Toastmasters  has developed a proven system over the last 74 years to help people succeed as public speakers and organizational leaders.  People join Toastmasters for a number of reasons.  Some are extremely afraid of public speaking and need to conquer their nerves.  Others are good public speakers who want to polish their skills and expand their talents.  People stay in Toastmasters for one reason: it is an effective organization that supports and encourages their development to achieve excellence in public speaking and leadership. 

 

How does Toastmasters work?   Toastmasters help by developing your skills one step at a time.   The Toastmaster system is an ongoing series of communication projects that work by building upon previously acquired speaking skills.  The program is layed out in well prepared manuals that cover the foundations of good speech on to more advanced concepts such as giving a good sales presentation.

 

At a typical Toastmasters' meeting you will have the opportunity to deliver a prepared speech, lead a section of the meeting, and do a short impromptu talk. Meetings are held within a mutually supportive atmosphere, and they are always informative and fun.
